The American Hotel & Lodging Association

The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) represents the top hotel brands and all facets of the hotel industry, which supports eight million jobs. Story Partners worked with AHLA on its executive visibility communications. We supported AHLA’s online hotel booking campaign, “Search Smarter,” which offers guidance to travelers on the benefits of booking directly at a hotel to avoid the pitfalls of the third-party booking scams and misleading information.

For Search Smarter, we created the educational and marketing materials for the association’s member meetings and fly-ins on Capitol Hill. Each spring, we launched the Search Smarter campaign to national travel and consumer press, which consists of fresh creative approaches and updated media hooks to incorporate recent research. We managed consumer press outreach in New York, Beltway-area press in Washington and consumer segments on television and radio stations in the top 20 markets, as well as the AHLA social media channels and blogs, to help tell the story of a better hotel and travel experience.
