Hinton to Lead & Expand Farm & Food Practice at Story Partners
Story Partners announced today that Tamara Hinton has joined the agency as senior vice president. A farm bill veteran with more than a decade of experience in legislative and media relations, Tamara will lead the growing farm, food, and trade practice.
Prior to joining Story Partners, Tamara founded her own boutique communications firm that focused on a variety of agricultural and financial services policy issues. She is bringing those clients and relationships with her to Story Partners.
Tamara also served as the communications director and spokesperson for the House Agriculture Committee under the leadership of Reps. Frank Lucas and Bob Goodlatte. In this role, she developed and executed the communications strategy for the reauthorization of the 2014 Farm Bill and led messaging campaigns to support committee and House efforts in the oversight of the Dodd-Frank Act and other regulatory measures.

Tamara’s other experience includes working as a broadcast reporter for WVIR-NBC29 in Charlottesville, Virginia where she covered local and political news, as well as important national stories, such as the Virginia Tech shootings in 2007, the five-year anniversary of 9/11 in New York City, and the business of the fashion industry during New York’s Fashion Week in 2006. Tamara served in the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan for two years after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and History from the University of Mary Washington.
