Public Relations Account Coordinator/Office Manager (Remote)
Story Partners, a DC-based public affairs agency, is seeking an Account Coordinator/Office Manager to work across the company to support client teams and senior executives. This is a great entry-level opportunity for an individual with one to two years of experience, including related internships. The successful candidate will be an organized, self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines. He/she will be a strong writer with knowledge and understanding of the media and social media landscape.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist client account teams with daily media monitoring, media list development, client research, etc.
- Draft press releases, social media content, blog posts and social media calendars.
- Research award and speaking opportunities and draft submissions.
- Collaborate with company leaders to provide administrative, technical, and marketing support as needed.
- Plan and coordinate marketing events, including maintaining and updating marketing and client databases.
- Serve as the point of contact for IT and other vendors.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, maintain vacation schedules, and track paid-time-off (PTO).
- Maintain office supplies, computers, and related equipment.
- Assist accounting team with monthly expenses and invoicing.
- Update, maintain, and distribute internal client and staff lists, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and one to two years of work experience, including internships.
- Prior PR agency experience and/or internship preferred.
- Proficient in writing and research skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365/Sharepoint and Salesforce (or similar CRM).

Digital Manager
DIGITAL DIRECTOR
Story Partners is seeking a Digital Managerr to manage online and social media campaigns. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with strategy development, community management, editorial planning, online advertising and social analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Lead digital programs for communications and public affairs clients across array of industries
- Advise clients and account leads on emerging social trends, research and best practices to identify new opportunities and solutions
- Execute ongoing social community management, monitoring and reporting, continuously evaluating new and compelling ways to engage audiences online.
- Plan and execute online advertising and search engine marketing campaigns, including planning, buying, budgeting, and optimization
- Develop analytic reports to properly measure effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for strategy and improvements
- Monitor social media conversations and trends to identify opportunities for clients to leverage story telling opportunities in real-time
- Conduct email marketing campaigns
- Perform research and prepare new business materials (e.g., proposals, pitches)
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years digital project management experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Demonstrated experience managing social communities for brands, companies, nonprofits or issue-based organizations.
- Proficiency with social management platforms (e.g., Sprout) and social media monitoring platforms (e.g., Meltwater)
- Proficiency in Google Adwords
- Ability to think creatively and spot trends
- Proven ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for everything digital
- Bachelor’s degree

Public Affairs Interns
Story Partners is seeking fall interns. The intern program provides a substantive, hands-on experience in a fast-paced workplace. The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starter and creative thinker. We encourage students with a communications background or an interest in the role of public affairs in the political process to apply. Interns should be prepared to enter a professional office and work hard every day.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Drafting a wide selection of written and creative materials
- Monitoring news coverage (traditional and digital) for client issues
- Facilitating a variety of social media engagements and analysis
- Building and maintaining reporter databases
- Conducting media and issues-related research
Story Partners will arrange unique excursions for interns to further their understanding of the different aspects of public affairs in Washington, D.C. These will include touring the U.S. Capitol, attending a congressional hearing, and touring a major news studio.
