Carrie Blewitt named one of PR News’ Top Women in PR
At its annual award ceremony in New York, honoring top leaders in public relations from across the country, PR News named Story Partners Senior Vice President Carrie Blewitt as one of its Top Women in PR. The award celebrates communicators who have made bold advances in managing crises, developing brand messages, and protecting and building brand reputations for their organizations or clients.
“It’s been a privilege to work with Carrie at both Story Partners and at Dittus Communications,” said Gloria Dittus, chairman of Story Partners. “She brings passion to her work and strives for excellence on behalf of clients.”
PR News honored Blewitt for her commitment to drive clients’ business objectives – from her work in leading the award-winning Trucking Moves America Forward campaign, to managing a campaign aimed at educating voters to make better energy choices, her commitment is highly regarded by clients who see her as a valued strategic partner.
During the ceremony, the honorees were asked to share what leadership qualities they have seen in women whom they admire and seek to emulate. Blewitt remarked, “One quality I admired from women mentors throughout my career is perseverance. Whether it’s pitching a story to a journalist or striving for that promotion, you keep going, keep pushing forward until goals are achieved and success will follow. Keep trying to reach and shatter that glass ceiling.”
